And in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, <I><B>but cannot discern the signs of the times?</B></I>”</div> <bR> <div> The Lord chided those listening to Him because they could look at natural signs to forecast the weather, but they were failing to observe the myriad of signs God had provided for them that they might recognize the day of prophetic fulfillment they lived in. The Spirit of Christ declares the same today. The signs of the present prophetic hour are myriad, yet the church has her focus upon her next material acquisition, her pleasure, her pursuit of worldly goods, and she is oblivious to the astonishing signs that have been forecasting what is coming upon this world. While the ministers who have been heaped up to declare that which the people want to hear continue to drone their message of prosperity, personal fulfillment and peace, the signs of the Day of the Lord are overlooked and ignored. The sheep are lulled to sleep, not knowing they are surrounded by wolves and a great storm is about to descend upon them.</div> <bR> <div> Yahweh does nothing unless He first gives warning, provides signs, and declares it through those who are true prophets. Two thousand years ago an awesome event in the divine plan occurred as God became man, born of a virgin. What was coming was declared with signs in the heavens (the star of the Magi), through understanding of Scriptures (Daniel’s Prophecy), through the mouths of prophets (John the Baptist), through personal revelation (Simeon and Anna), and the visitation of angels. Yet, with all of these signs, those who were charged with the oversight of spiritual teaching failed to discern the hour they lived in. They did not recognize the hour of their visitation, and they failed to speak the truth to those who came week after week to the Temple and to the synagogues.</div> <bR> <div> Today this pattern is being repeated, for the signs of the Lord’s return are everywhere to be seen, and they are ignored and little esteemed. A blindness has fallen upon the leaders of the church, and those who follow them are but blind followers of the blind. Together they will both fall into a ditch. Let those who have ears to hear, and eyes to see, recognize what the Spirit is declaring about the hour we live in.</div> <bR> <div> Luke 21:25-28 </div> <div> "And there will be <I><B>signs in sun and moon and stars and upon the earth, </B></I>dismay among nations in <I><B>perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves</B></I>, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."</div> <bR> <div> Jesus Christ, Yahshua the Messiah, declared to His disciples that even as signs were given of His first appearing, there would be many signs to attest of His second appearing. A church that does not look for these signs in sun and moon and stars and upon the earth, will fail to recognize them when they occur. Indeed, many have already occurred and have been ignored. These signs have not been small, neither have they been unreported by the media sources of the world. Yet the church and her blind leaders whose hearts are consumed with worldly matters, have not heeded the signs, for they do not seek the mind of God and yearn to know what He is saying.</div> <bR> <div> Yahshua said that preceding His return the world would be “in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves.” The year 2004 was marked by four land falling hurricanes upon the United States, and particularly the state of Florida. It was the costliest hurricane season on record with one in five houses in Florida being damaged. Yet the year 2005 eclipsed 2004 with even more awesome devastation wrought by hurricanes that exploded into magnitude five, often unexpectedly. An entire American city was left in ruins as her levees were breached and the city devastated by floodwaters. To date New Orleans is far from recovery, with over half her population not having returned and large sections of her neighborhoods in incredible ruin.</div> <bR> <div> There is even more, however, for on December 26, 2004 one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded occurred in the Indian Ocean producing a series of tsunamis that killed 186,983 and left 42,883 missing. The earthquake is estimated to have been between 9.1 and 9.3 magnitude, making it the second largest earthquake ever recorded.</div> <div> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFFCC" FACE="Georgia" >(Source:</FONT> <U>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquake</U><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFFCC" FACE="Georgia" >)</FONT></div> <bR> <div> The “roaring of the sea and the waves” has been so severe that insurance companies are canceling policies in coastal areas, and refusing to write any new policies for those who live near the sea. The 2005 hurricane season is estimated to have cost insurance companies more than eighty billion dollars. These things are neither small, nor have they happened in obscurity. The entire world has been witness to the roaring of the seas and the waves, yet the church and her ministers have not discerned the day they live in.</div> <bR> <div> There is much more, however, for every sign that Yahshua said would precede His coming has been occurring. There have been “signs in sun and moon and stars.”</div> <bR> <div> The ancients referred to planets as “wandering stars.” In August 2003 a sign of such enormity occurred that it appeared on the front pages of newspapers. The planet Mars made its closest approach to earth in 60,000 years. Did the church take note? Tragically, the church has as little discernment of signs in the heavens as did the religious leaders of the Jews at the time of their Messiah’s birth. It was foreign men who were intent upon the heavens and the signs that the Creator of the heavens placed there, who recognized the message signified by the star of Christ. It was wise men from the East, men who were outside the religious system of Judaism, who observed God’s message and followed it accurately to the site of the newborn Savior of mankind.</div> <bR> <div> Today, signs in the heavens are likewise scorned by those who guard the doors of the Christian church. Although Yahshua declared that “signs in sun and moon and stars and upon the earth” would be God’s markers wherewith to forecast His imminent return, the church has spurned the Messiah’s words. Heavenly signs are viewed with disdain and suspicion. A backlash against the false signs of Satan, of horoscopes and false predictions based upon misinterpretations of the Zodiac, has caused the church to fear that which God crafted with perfect wisdom and precise timing. The Scriptures declare that the heavens were given for signs. They forecast the work of the Creator of the heavens, and declare His timetable to those who have eyes to see.</div> <bR> <div> Genesis 1:14 </div> <div> Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs...”</div> <bR> <div> Matthew 2:2 </div> <div> "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him."</div> <bR> <div> There is no evil in ascribing signs to the sun and moon and stars. For this purpose God created them. He has created a perfect order to the motions of all heavenly bodies. This He declared to Job.</div> <bR> <div> Job 38:31-33 </div> <div> “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in its season, and guide the Bear with her satellites? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens, or fix their rule over the earth?”</div> <bR> <div> Amos stated that it was Yahweh who created the constellations, and has given them for signs.</div> <bR> <div> Amos 5:8 </div> <div> He who made the Pleiades and Orion and changes deep darkness into morning, Who also darkens day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, Yahweh is His name.</div> <bR> <div> The Hebrew Zodiac is called “The Mazzaroth.” There are twelve major constellations, all in their proper order. Is not twelve a number chosen by Yahweh to signify His perfect government among the creation? The first of the constellations is Bethulah the Virgin (Virgo), which declares the birth of Messiah by a virgin. The last is Leo the Lion, signifying the Lion of the Tribe of Judah aroused for the destruction of His enemies. In between, the constellations reveal the message of God’s redemptive plan for mankind, for they are His heavenly creation declaring His works among the creation. Bullinger: <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Georgia" ><U>http://philologos.org/__eb-tws/</U></FONT> )</div> <bR> <div> How tragic then that the church neither recognizes the voice of God in the heavens, nor seeks to understand the signs He uses to communicate to mankind. What is this sign of Mars’ near approach that was marked throughout the world? The Greeks and the Romans rightly discerned Mars (Ares) to represent war and bloodshed. Mars is the “red planet.” Mars also has two moons named Phobos (Fear) and Deimos (Panic). Heavenly signs are given to discern the hour we live in. They attest to what is coming upon the Earth. The Scriptures confirm what the days will be like just before the return of Christ.</div> <bR> <div> Matthew 24:3-6 </div> <div> "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" And Yahshua answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am anointed,' and will mislead many. And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place...”</div> <bR> <div> Our Lord urged His disciples, “See that you are not frightened.” Along with war (Mars) will come fear (Phobos) and panic (Deimos). Never since the day of Adam has Mars and its moons come so close to the Earth. A day unlike any other is fast approaching. Yahshua urges His disciples to make ready. Find peace and safety in Him, for He is a strong tower and a refuge. He is a present help in a time of trouble. Those who look to the world for peace and safety will be filled with fear, for that which can be shaken will be shaken. There will be no safety in banks and stock markets. There will be no safety in healthcare systems and governments and armies. Only in the Lord will there be peace and safety in the days to come.</div> <bR> <div> The church has ignored this phenomenal sign in the heavens, though it was reported throughout the world. Yet God has not stopped here, for all things must be confirmed by two or more witnesses. Two months after Mars made its close approach another sign in the heavens was in the news. Following is an excerpt from NASA’s website that gives details of a great sunburst that occurred on October 28, 2003.</div> <div> “The third most-powerful solar flare ever observed in X-ray wavelengths erupted from Sunspot 486 early October 28, 2003, at approximately 6 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. A coronal mass ejection (CME) directed almost straight at Earth preceded the flare, sending electrically charged gas toward our planet, say NASA and European Space Agency (ESA) scientists.”</div> <bR> <div> Yahshua said there would be “signs in Sun and Moon and stars.” There would be multiple signs, and they would be revealed in the heavens. What kind of signs can be seen in the Sun? Eclipses, darkness, sunbursts. All have meaning. What then, when an enormous sunburst occurs preceded by a coronal mass ejection directed straight at the Earth? Such an occurrence is rare. Of all the directions the eruption could have been aimed, the earth was as a small pinpoint among trillions of pinpoints surrounding the globe of the Sun. Yet this eruption from a sunspot numbered 486 was aimed in the direction of the Earth.</div> <bR> <div> The Spirit bears witness that this also is a sign given to bear witness of the days we live in. The Spirit testifies that the number of the Sunspot correlates to a specific Scripture. There are no chapter 4 verse 86 occurrences in Scripture. There are only five books that have chapter 48 verse 6. Among these is the following:</div> <bR> <div> Psalms 48:6 </div> <div> Panic seized them there, </div> <div> Anguish, as of a woman in childbirth.</div> <bR> <div> There is a perfect correspondence between the message of this verse and the state of the Earth preceding the return of the Lord. Messiah spoke the following to His disciples:</div> <bR> <div> Matthew 24:7-8 </div> <div> “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.”</div> <bR> <div> As a woman travails in pain to give birth, so will the Earth experience travail in order for the sons of God to come forth.</div> <bR> <div> I Thessalonians 5:2-3 </div> <div> For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child...</div> <bR> <div> Romans 8:19-23 </div> <div> For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God... For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.</div> <bR> <div> Understand the parable of the curse that was spoken to Eve.</div> <bR> <div> Genesis 3:16 </div> <div> “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you shall bring forth children...”</div> <bR> <div> Woman represents the Church. She has been appointed by her Husband (Christ) to bring forth mature sons after His image. Yet, because of sin, these sons can only be brought forth through much suffering. Even as a woman experiences contractions that grow worse and occur closer together as her hour to deliver approaches, so too must the Earth experience these same contractions. Even as a woman may become fearful and panicked during labor, so too will the church be subjected to such suffering. Those who do not know the ways of the Lord, those who are not prepared and willing to endure, will be daunted, and many will turn back due to the fear and panic that grips them. Yet those who endure to the end will be saved.</div> <bR> <div> Matthew 24:8-13 </div> <div> “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many. And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.”</div> <bR> <div> Saints, do not listen to those who preach an escape theology. Do not listen to those who say all those who name the name of Christ will be raptured before the days of great tribulation. Christ learned obedience through the things He suffered, and so must His disciples. Christ was perfected (brought to maturity) through suffering, and so must all be who would bear His image. Christ said that before He returned that many who were His disciples would fall away, false prophets would arise to lead many astray, and that those who fell away would hate those who remained faithful, and would deliver them up. Christ urged His disciples to hold fast, to endure to the end.</div> <bR> <div> We live in days of prophetic fulfillment. The hour is close for the return of the Lord. His return will be preceded by unprecedented turmoil upon the Earth. Signs have been given in the heavens. The Creator would have His faithful ones to understand and heed them. The contractions have already begun. Many more signs have been given, and largely gone unheeded.
